Woodside Choir's Christmas Fundraiser for Haven House Hospice raises £360!
The Woodside Choir sang not once but TWICE to audiences on Friday 12th December.
The fantastic choir firstly sang carols to residents at Matthew Court Retirement and Sheltered Housing Care Home, which is just around the corner from Forest site. They sang a range of new and traditional festive songs which the residents loved. They then took time to chat with residents and were awarded with sweets and cake for their vocal efforts!
After resting their voices for a couple of hours, they put on their festive hats and travelled down to Walthamstow Central Station. There they sang for a whole hour and a half, braving the cold to fundraise for Haven House Hospice. Many passers by stopped to listen and donate some money for a great cause. The choir raised an amazing £360, which will go towards supporting families and caring for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions across North and East London
The choir enjoyed themselves thoroughly - we can't wait to hear them at more events and performances next year!
